Shipping Information
STSI normally ships via UPS (United Parcel Service) or USPS (United States Postal Service).
UPS orders are not processed or shipped on Saturday or Sunday, and USPS orders are not processed or shipped on Sunday. We cannot guarantee when an order will arrive. Please consider any shipping or transit time offered to you by STSI.COM or other parties only as an estimate. We encourage you to order in a timely fashion to avoid shipping delays.
Cutoff Times for Same-Day Shipment:
For First Class and Priority Mail via the US Postal Service, your order must be received by 9:30am CST in order to ship the same day. In some cases, we can ship orders that arrive as late as 11:00am CST, but this is not guaranteed. To ensure same day shipping via the US Postal Service, please make sure we receive your order by 9:30am.
For UPS orders, your order must be received by 4:00pm Central Time in order to ship the same day. In some cases, we can ship orders that arrive as late as 5:00pm CST, but this is not guaranteed. To ensure same day shipping via UPS, please make sure we receive your order by 4:00pm.
UPS Shipping "Time-in-Transit" for Ground Delivery. This map shows the estimated time-in-transit for orders shipped using UPS Ground, based on our location in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. This is not guaranteed and includes business days only (excluding weekends or holidays). All in-stock orders with UPS as the shipping method are shipped the same day if received by 4:00pm Central Time.
Example: If an order is placed on a Wednesday, before 4:00pm CST, and the delivery location indicates an estimated 3-day "time-in-transit", the order usually arrives on Monday. If the order is placed later than 4:00pm CST, please assume that the order will ship the following day. (In some cases, we may still be able to ship the same day, depending on our backlog, but this is not guaranteed.) Also, the map cannot precisely indicate locations between two adjacent zones, so please assume the longer "time-in-transit" estimation.
International Shipping to Canada:
When shipping a package to Canada via UPS Canada Standard, UPS will charge the recipient a $20-$30 "brokerage fee" for receiving this type of package. They charge this fee for the service of clearing the package through Canadian customs. This fee is in addition to normal customs fees and taxes. Many Canadian customers do not like this hidden charge, so we strongly recommend shipment to Canada via US Express Mail. While the upfront fee charged for shipping will be slightly higher than UPS Canada Standard, there are no hidden brokerage fees. Express Mail is trackable and fully insured.
Express Mail packages are handed off to Purolator for delivery within Canada.

International Delivery Times To Canada:
Starting around January of 2005, Canadian customs started to severely delay the delivery of all cross-border packages. The delivery time for USPS First Class Mail International is running about 3 weeks for delivery, USPS Priority Mail International is running about 2 weeks, and Express Mail is running 7-10 days. Delivery addresses must include a full name (no initials will be accepted), as well as a daytime phone number for the delivery courier. Since January of 2009, delivery to European nations has been slowed significantly, with delivery times similar to the ones shown above for Canada.
